Cellular Radio Mast

The folded sheet steel mast shown has been developed by CU Lighting, in collaboration with a telecommunication
antenna manufacturer, for heights up to 20 metres at 51 m/sec. maximum 3 second gust wind speed. A range of cross boom assemblies are available to enable a wide choice of aerials to be installed including parabolic dishes up to 600mm diameter.

The mast is a tapered duodecagon (20 sided) section to give improved aerodynamic performance.

The feeders are carried down the mast internally supported by a catenary wire which is held in tension to prevent contact with the inner face of the mast.

Doors are fitted to the top and bottom of the mast and are closed with tri-head, security locking mechanisms.

The feeders can be taken out through the base flange and via a duct, in the foundation block, to the control equipment.

Standard finish as supplied is Hot Dipped Galvanized to BS729.

Holding down studs are supplied complete with template for casting-in by others. Ground level loads will be
supplied to enable a foundation design to be carried out to suit local site conditions.
