The folded sheet steel mast shown has been developed by CU Lighting for Television Repeater sites with limited
access for servicing after installation has been completed.

The mast has been designed for heights up to and including 25m with a maximum 3 second gust wind speed of 51 m/sec.

The mast is a duodecagon (20 sided) section to give improved aerodynamic performance.

Access is by ladder with, if required, a cable tray fixed to the ladder string to support the feeders. Alternatively a ladder with a hollow central spine for feeders can be used, or the feeders can be carried internally in the mast attached to a stainless steel catenary wire.

The ladder can commence at ground level with an anti-climbing gate closed with a lock or, if required, the ladder can commence at an agreed height above ground. In both cases a safety climbing mechanism can be supplied if required.

Standard finish as supplied is Hot Dipped Galvanised to BS729.

The mast is normally manufactured with a flange for bolting down to the foundation but can be supplied with an integral root. Holding down studs are supplied
complete with a template for casting-in by others. Ground level loads will be supplied to enable a foundation design to be carried out to suit local site conditions.
