Trainee Lighting Designer 
 
CU Phosco Lighting are looking for a new employee to be trained as a lighting designer.  No previous lighting design experience is required.
 
This permanent role would be office based in the Technical Department in Ware, Hertfordshire.  
 
The successful candidate will work closely with a small team of experienced lighting designers, initially completing training on the job.  Following the initial training period, and to progress in the role, the candidate would be expected to attend and complete the ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma at the company’s expense. The role will initially include completing road and street lighting designs, followed by training on more complex schemes for other highways and infrastructure projects as the candidate progresses.  
 
The candidate must have GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or above in English, Maths and Physics and be fluent in English.  
 
The ideal candidate would have A-Level (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and Physics and an ambition to start or continue with further education in an electrical engineering qualification.
 
The candidate would be trained on, and would benefit from any previous experience using:
 
  •  Microsoft Office suite of programs
  •  2D or 3D CAD software
 
Occasional site visits may be required anywhere in the UK, which may include working outside normal office hours.  
 
Salary £17,000 - £20,000 depending on qualifications and experience with opportunity to progress with experience level.
