The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea approached CU Phosco® Lighting with the view to install LED lighting in a traditional stye. Their main aims were to reduce the fear of crime and to provide an energy saving solution, in keeping with the historic atmosphere of this newly landscaped pedestrian area.

The Royal Borough of Kensington &  Chelsea have historicaly used the 90W Cosmo version of the P109 lanterns in their borough and CU Phosco® recently developed an LED version of this lantern which would reduce both energy costs as well as the need for maintenance. By moving to the LED version the Borough are making an energy saving of 20%. The P109 LED provided excellent uniformity as well as an attractive Heritage style that would be aesthetically complementary to the area

The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea are very happy with the outcome of the installation stating, "Very good uniformity with reduced maintenance costs."
